HOW TO Art Skills for the Absolute Beginner

A ‘HOW TO ‘workshop in Basic Art Practice. You can DO IT!

Monthly Workshops held every third Friday of the Month. Group numbers 3+ participants

Have you ever wanted to know HOW to paint with watercolours paints and gouache, or draw with charcoal, or how to create different tones and textures using oil and chalk pastels?

If you answered YES then I can assist you. What I find from previous students is that they feel they lack the basics, that is why I teach these amazingly simple skills that you can learn with ease and grace.

I know in my 40 years’ experience that when you learn the specific techniques and skills associated with any art medium step by step through DEMONSTRATION and PRACTICE your own understanding, confidence and desire to create, becomes a whole lot easier!

I have spent many long hours creating Art Skills programs for schools and universities, so I know what procedures and teaching methods work BEST for every kind of learner in a step by step manner.

I start from scratch with every student whether you are a beginner, a novice or professional…what I have noticed is that everyone who has been to my classes learns something new, and has become inspired to connect with their art again!

This workshop format is for set for adults with a desire to explore Art Skills in a fun, supportive, nonjudgmental, relaxed environment with an expert Arts Educator.

All the art workshops are held in the Art Studio, at Lake Cathie. Each workshop is 3 hours in length, starting at 10.30am and finishing at 1.30pm. All art materials are provided for, so all you need to bring is a little snack/ lunch and water for yourself to munch on during the session. You are welcome to use your own brushes if you have them, and please bring along your previous art pieces as we can all learn from them too.

The workshop includes the cost of the tuition, use of all art materials, and a FREE Gift to utilise in each workshop. All workshops must be prepaid prior to workshop commencement date.
