So you may be considering doing a Tarot Course?
Whatever has led you to learn Tarot has been divinely guided. It is an opportunity for you to become more open, and a time for you to awaken your dormant Psychic intuitive self!
My main purpose in this course is to show you how to use the Tarot cards for yourself, and possibly if desired, read for others. That is your best benchmark in determining the quality of your intuitive skill.
The Tarot can help you understand yourself better and teach you how to tap your inner resources more confidently. You do not have to have “psychic powers” to use the tarot successfully. All you need is the willingness to honor and develop your natural intuition.
The Course Outline
Intuitive Tarot is a course comprising 6 main sessions, 3 hours each session. Each session is spread out across two to three weeks to give you time to practice on your own, do mock readings for others, and revise notes. It gives you time to consolidate your knowledge, harness your intuition, and learn to recognize the visual cues of the symbols on the cards.
During the course sessions you will be working with others to get feedback, insights and teamwork. It is a very powerful way to learn. I have been reading for more than 25 years, and I always find it beneficial to work alongside other readers.
I begin with the rich history of the tarot, pointing out the link to Art History, ancient knowledge, and symbolism. We then move onto the basics and then move gradually into more detailed aspects of the tarot. These lessons are geared toward beginners, but experienced tarot users will find some useful ideas and techniques as well. For each lesson there are some exercises that reinforce the ideas presented.
Session 1: History of the Tarot: How the cards resemble the structure of human consciousness and, as such, hold the keys to life lessons passed down through the ages. The imagery of the Major Arcana Tarot cards is filled with wisdom from multiple cultures and esoteric traditions; resonance exercises and self-reading, one to one team work.
Session 2: The Major Arcana Cards: 22 cards which form the foundation of the Tarot. Drawing exercise highlighting intuition and the cards,.
Session 3: The Suit of Cups, its history, symbols, meanings. Creating a Clay Cup for your cards, resonance exercise and 2 card readings.
Session 4: The Suit of Wands: The symbolism in the cards, creating a Medicine Stick, learning the Celtic Cross Spread, 3 card mock readings.
Session 5: The Suit of Swords: The symbolism in the cards, learning the Gypsy Circle spread, more mock readings to specific questions.
Session 6: The Suit of Pentacles: The symbolism in the cards, creating a crystal grid with the cards, reading for self, mini quizzes, mock readings.
What Is Needed For the Course?
The only real requirement for this course is a tarot deck. If you don’t have a deck, there are many choices available to you. I suggest you either pop over to your local esoteric store and buy a pack or go online and check out what’s available. Raider Waite is commonly used for beginners, but there are other decks which are more interesting and I always believe begin with what appeals to you. If you were given a pack of Tarot cards from a friend or better still inherited them from someone that is a sure indicator to use those FIRST no matter how old the cards are. My first Tarot deck was given to me from a friend, and I knew immediately it was time for me to learn. Before Tarot, I was reading the normal playing cards, which I learned from Fiona MacCallum once Australia’s most popular clairvoyant. Just make sure that what you buy is Tarot and not Angel Cards and so on. There must be 78 cards in the deck. You will also need a note book, a plastic folder, and pens. Throughout the course I will be asking you to bring in certain items.
